Privacy Policy
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Ticketmates Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 73 127 532 147), part of the Gratifii group ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information in connection with the PerksPortal Shopping marketplace at shopping.perksportal.com.au (the "Marketplace").
The Marketplace is an online marketplace. We operate the Marketplace and process your payment. Products are sold and shipped directly to you by independent third-party sellers ("Sellers").
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. By using the Marketplace, you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled as described in this policy.
2. Summary
- What we collect: Only the personal information we reasonably need to run the Marketplace and fulfil your orders.
- How we use it: To process, deliver and support your orders, confirm your member eligibility and, where you agree, send you offers.
- Who we share it with: The Seller who fulfils your order, delivery providers, and the service providers who help us run the Marketplace and process payments. We do not sell your personal information.
- How you sign in: You access the Marketplace through your existing member program, which shares your basic details with us.
- Your choices: You can access and correct your information and unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
- How we protect it: We use industry-standard security, and card payments are handled by PCI DSS-compliant payment providers.
3. What information we collect
Information you or your member program give us
- Signing in through your member program: You do not create a separate account on the Marketplace. You access it using single sign-on (SSO) from your existing member program, such as PerksPortal. When you click through, your program passes us your name, email address, phone number and member number so we can identify you and confirm your eligibility for member pricing.
- Placing an order: Any details not already received through sign-in, such as your billing and delivery addresses, delivery instructions and order details. Card payments are processed directly by our payment service providers. We do not store your full card number or security code.
- Returns, refunds and support: Your contact details, order number, our correspondence with you and any information you provide, such as photos of a damaged or faulty item.
- Marketing, surveys and competitions: Your name, email address, communication preferences and any details needed to enter or run a survey, promotion or competition.
Information we collect automatically
When you use the Marketplace we collect technical and usage information, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site. We use cookies and similar technologies for this purpose (see section 6).
Information from others
We receive information about you from your member program when you sign in (see above), from Sellers and delivery providers (for example, delivery status), and from our payment and fraud-screening providers.
Anonymity and sensitive information
Access to the Marketplace is through your member program, so we cannot offer anonymous access or ordering. We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health information) and ask that you do not provide it.
4. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- process your order and pass it to the relevant Seller for fulfilment and delivery;
- process payments, refunds and chargebacks, and detect and prevent fraud;
- identify you when you sign in through your member program and confirm your eligibility for member offers;
- send order confirmations, delivery updates and other service messages;
- handle enquiries, complaints, returns and warranty claims;
- send you marketing where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law;
- improve the Marketplace, including through analytics; and
- meet our legal obligations, including consumer, tax and record-keeping laws.
6. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to maintain your signed-in session, remember your cart and preferences, secure the Marketplace and understand how it is used. We use Google Analytics to analyse site usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Marketplace, such as checkout, may not work without them.
7. Marketing
We will only send you marketing by email or SMS where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing message or by contacting us. We will continue to send you service messages about your orders.
8. How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS), access controls and use of PCI DSS-compliant payment providers. No online system is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by law.
9. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations. We then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
10. Accessing and correcting your information
The details we receive at sign-in come from your member program account, so the easiest way to update them is through that program. You can also ask us for access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting our Privacy Officer. We will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days. If we refuse a request, we will explain why, as permitted by law.
11. Complaints
If you believe we have breached this policy or the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact our Privacy Officer with details of your complaint. We will acknowledge it and aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the OAIC at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
12. Children
The Marketplace is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Marketplace, with the date it was last updated.
